Physical Therapy

Physical therapy at Flow PT and Pilates is different than the traditional PT model. All sessions are 60 minutes, one-on-one with the same licensed physical therapist. Evaluations are comprehensive, assessing all areas that may contribute to symptoms. Treatment can be a combination of precise exercises, stretches, manual/hands on skills, balance training, posture, Pilates, and more.

Pilates

Pilates is a form of exercise developed by Joseph Pilates while he was in an internment camp during World War I. He combined aspects of Greek and Roman exercise, martial arts, dance, yoga, meditation, gymnastics, boxing, and body building to create his unique form of exercise.

This Pilates mat class promotes strength, balance, flexibility, mobility, and posture. All exercises are safe for those with osteopenia and osteoporosis, while still providing a challenging workout. Modifications and props are used depending on each individual’s needs or precautions.

Biomechanical Bike Fit and Clinical Assessment

Bike fit assesses how different bike components (ie. saddle, pedals, handlebars, stems, etc.) are oriented and whether they are located optimally for the rider.
